Without hunger, where would the motivation lie?
I have strongly been of the belief that for artists hunger should be an integral part of the creative process. Hunger gives us the principal reason why we search for food; literally, emotionally, spiritually, and creatively. Hunger creates a sensation you feel deep down; which if not addressed may eventually give you a feeling of emptiness.
Now, food on the other hand, is for me an artist's reward for a job well done. Food, or rather, decadent, sinful, amazingly delicious food, should come at the end of each masterpiece. Good food is the rightful end to a day spent in the pursuit of creative endeavours. But what then if the creative endeavour is the food itself?
