AS FOG ROLLS IN, Canili.
For the most part, journeymen travel during the day just to be able to enjoy a normal night. On this particular destination, travel had to be done in the dead of night just to be able to catch the break of day at certain specific waypoints. Along the way, the only people you'll encounter are the truckers who haul the vegetables and agricultural produce which has to reach market also just before daybreak. Views like these are like unspoken secrets and chance encounters; only told years and years after.

MY DAILY SUNRISE, Greenhills.
Warm golden rays filtered through freshly laundered organza curtains. Heat and warmth are not considered luxuries in my part of Asia, as it is a commodity in abundance. It took trip to a -9 degree Centigrade destination before my perspective changed. Ever since, I would welcome the coming of daybreak as if I had just spent another -9 degree night.

WATER FROM THE NIGHT BEFORE, Canili
On the banks of the lake lie 4 paddle boats; 3 tied together and a fourth one twenty feet away. A water buffalo calls this area home as well. A fisherman arrives on his ride; a black bicycle that has seen the character of more than a thousand sun rises. He crosses the bridge toward where i am standing, goes down to his boat, picks up a cup and starts taking out the water that has accumulated from the night before. His day has just begun; the rest of the world is still tucked in.
